Sherry earned her first World Championship Barrel Racing title in 1995, just two years after graduating from high school.  She is a four-time World Champion Barrel Racer achieving world titles in 1995, 1999, 2010 and 2013.  Sherry has won over $2.5 million in career earnings.  In addition, she qualified 16 times for the National Finals Rodeo.

Sherry represented the USA in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.  In 2003, Sherry was inducted into the Pima County Sports Hall of Fame.
